I’m loath to ever recommend what people should do regarding whether to get all the recommended canine vaccinations or not. I am more comfortable leaving that decision to each individual. Seeing as almost all our clients prefer, I have the pups get their first “round” of vaccines at the vet check, but leave it to that. Some breeders get two rounds before letting the pups go. I figure it best to leave that decision to the new owners.
That being said, I’m a fan of Peter Dobias, and I think this article on the kennel cough vaccine has some salient points to consider before deciding what’s best for your dog.
Just a heads up, we’re expecting a litter of GSP’s and a litter of Cavapoos in the coming week!
